Ultrasound pictures

Here are a couple of the ultrasound pictures from our second visit to the Doctor's. She estimated the due date to be Dec. 1 by the size of the baby, but we're hoping it will be a little sooner than that. (Maybe he/she will be a Thanksgiving baby, so I can get out of cooking dinner that day!) Guess we'll see. We find out July 15 what the sex is! That is a major milestone for us - we don't even begin to discuss names until we have it narrowed down to boy or girl names. There are just too many to choose from!

Photo catch-up

Ok, so here we go. These are some photos that I recently scanned. Of course, they are from last fall and the winter, but better late than never, eh?

Fall Fun.

This is John and Thomas playing in the MANY leaves that were on the lawn this last fall. It was quite a treat for both.

Thomas and Santa
Christmas 2007
Layton, UT.

Thomas did a bit better with Santa this year. He still wasn't too sure who the strange fellow was, but was willing to sit on his lap for the 5 seconds it took to get the picture. But he wasn't going to smile about it!

John, Liz, and Thomas as the three little elves.
December 2007

Podunk-ville, UT (I can
't remember the exact location....)

We took this picture at the Reindeer Park we visited with Ian, Jan, Ashton, and EmmaLee Esplin. The boys seemed to enjoy the animals (though not the reindeer so much!) There was a cute little Christmas village and some fun lights. We enjoyed ourselves, but it definitely was cold!

Naughtiness with Aunt Amy
Christmas 2007
Layton, UT

And you wonder where he gets it from? Aunt Amy teaches Tom the naughty trick of eating from the pie plate... on the kitchen floor no less!

Watching Ralphie with Grandpa Bradshaw
Christmas 2007

Layton, UT

For some unfathomable reason, Thomas has taken an amazingly strong attachment to the movie "The Christmas Story". (Also called "Ralphie," for short.) Grandma Bradshaw insists it is genetic, since that is her favorite movie. He insisted on watching the movie over and over everyday until the adults practically went nuts! Luckily one of the television stations ran a 24 hour marathon of "The Christmas Story" over Christmas. Here is Tom, hanging out with his Grandpa Bradshaw, watching yet another run of the movie, while Christmas dinner is being prepared.

Thomas dragged his piano into the kitchen to sing along to the music and keep Grandma Christine company while she was cooking in the kitchen.

Thomas decided to try on Mommy's glasses. He looks much better in them than their owner, too!

Trial

Well, seeing that several of our friends have started their own family blogs, we decided to give this a try. It would definitely save time emailing our pictures (and explanations of them) around to all of our friends and family. We can't promise much in the way of quick and regular updates - seeing as we have a lot going on right now, but we will certainly try. It looks like a rather fun and promising forum!
