Here are some photos of our celebrations for Mary Alice's two year birthday. Once again, it turned out to be a two-day affair. We celebrated a little bit early in Layton, while we were down there for Thanksgiving.

Here is the last minute cake Aunt Teresa whipped up to save the birthday celebrations. The bear cake I planned should have looked like this:
But, lets just say.... it didn't.
So, THANK YOU Aunt Teresa!
Mary Alice and Daddy awaiting present time.
The presents were a hit!

Just ask Tom.

And she LOVED the singing time. But unfortunately because of the cake fiasco, the dessert portion of the evening was so late that the newly deuced Mary Alice could hardly keep her eyes open and finally just asked if she could take a nap. So we put her to bed without her own birthday cake. Sad, huh?
Birthday Time - Take Two
So, a few days later we attempted the smaller family birthday party (on her real birthday). Mom made a cake - successfully this time. (Well, one that couldn't possibly be messed up.)

Here is older brother trying to keep Mary Alice from touching the flaming candles before it was time.

Blowing out the candles.

And munching on the dessert.
Present time! Here is Mary Alice looking through her gifts.

And older brother "showing how they work."
Happy birthday, baby girl!
