Summer 2009 catch up

Here are the events from this summer that I have yet to post pictures about. I meant to. Honestly. But there were just too many good ones to chose from. So, here are just some highlights.

July 3, 2009
Providence, Utah
(a.k.a. Tom's first real experience with firework-type explosives)

Thomas and Dad and the sparklers

Our pantless Tom and sparklers.

Mom, Tom, and the sparklers.

Bradshaw Family Reunion
July 4th weekend 2009 - Rupert, Idaho

There were lots of memorable events from the reunion - but here the big ones.

Jumping into the well. (Other "brave" souls, not John and I.)
There goes Cindy.

And Dave.

And Mitch and Marcus.

Here are the three mermaids... Cindy, Teresa, and Lindsey.

Cold, but happy Lindsey and Teresa.

And then there were more explosives for Tom's enjoyment.

Tom watching the shooting competition.

Tom gets to shoot the rifle with Dad and Grandpa Bradshaw.

Dave takes a turn.

Uncle Jim gets accosted by a Redneck Entertainer... oops, sorry, its Rednek Intertaner.

See

And here is what the Rednek Intertaner did

Teresa, Dave, and Mary Alice hanging out.

Sue and Mary Alice

Dad and Tom on the big tractor.

Mom and Mary Alice hanging out.

Our impromptu Camping-trip-turned-outdoor-hotdog-cooking-night-because-all-the-campsites-were-full expedition

And our trip to Bear Lake the next day. Which was actually supposed to be to the Minnetonka Caves, but the tours were all filled, so we went to the Lake and found out the beach was just as full. But persistence pays off, people... if you park your gear on the edge of someone else's turf... after an hour or so, they will leave.

Our castle.

Family Holiday Time

We were privileged to have some family in town for the Pioneer Day holiday here in Utah. Dad and Mom Bradshaw, Sue, Teresa, Dave, Cindy, James, Lindsey, and Becca! They were seduced up our way by promises of floating the canyon canal... but alas! they were sorely disappointed by the canal company's new found interest in private property and liability issues. Sad! Fear of the modern litigious world has finally hit our little valley.

But an alternate water source was found to entertain the crew. (Thank you Hyrum Dam!) Several people were dunked and there was lots of digging in the sand. Wouldn't it be nice to see pictures of the aqua-frolic?

Too bad.

I didn't go... and I didn't send my camera.

But Sue did. And you can see it all on her facebook. (That's right folks, I am getting lazy!)

But not to seem too lazy, here are some photos of the gang playing with sparklers in our front yard.

And pictures of the girls with our Mary Alice.

Fun stuff! Thanks for coming, guys!
