Well, we have gone through 4 and a half years of parenting without a single injury besides the usual array of bumps and bruises. Until this week, that is. It turns out our Mary Alice is much more like her Aunt Amy than we realized. In addition to the blond curls, penchant for climbing things, escaping the house, and stubborn... er, DETERMINED personality, she is also fairly accident prone.
This similarity was spelled out by a recent visit to the doctor's to get her forehead sewn up after she knocked it against the corner of a wall. To her credit, she wasn't being clutsy, so much so as she found herself unluckily in the pathway of a gang of boys playing chase.
So, here is our injured little angel.

She did remarkably well during the stitching. She didn't cry or complain and only started fidgeting when she was wanted to feel what they were doing to her forehead.
But it was still an exhausting ordeal.

Luckily, she had a sympathetic brother to keep her company....

And try to gain a little bit of the attention with a head bandage of his own.
