There I said it. What a ingeniously creative author. I am currently reading The Big OverEasy, part of the Nursery Crimes series - about a murder investigation into the recent demise of Humpty Dumpty. Who else could mix murder, mafias, and crime stories, with nursery rhymes and old fairy tales. Awesome.
I also highly recommend the Thursday Next series. It mixes every genre you could possibly imagine - traditional classic literature, apocalyptic scenarios, zombies, vampires, Jane Eyre's Mr. Rochester, evil empires, cavemen, alternate realities (more than one, too!), Dicken's Mrs. Havisham, time travel, reality TV in the literary world (What would happen to the Bennett family of Pride and Prejudice fame, if they were voted off, one by one - Survivor style?). Simply marvelous.
Ok, and I do have pictures of the children as well - but our computer has had a bit of a set back. Once it is back in tip top working order, I will post them. Hopefully.
